Really enjoyed the Khao Poon at medium spice. The balance of flavors of the shredded chicken with coconut milk, red curry paste, garlic, galangal, kaffir and lime leaves is spectacular. Not a fan of the triangle Rangoon, but the sauce is great. The custard sticky rice with coconut ice cream was well balanced and flavorful.
Came here for dinner and had a wonderful meal! The yellow curry was very fresh, and especially delicious with the chili oil. Also ordered the egg rolls and the cucumber salad, both of which were very good. Finally, the mango sticky rice was outstanding—maybe the best I’ve ever eaten. Service was very good, and portions were quite generous.
If you like Thai food or Pho, you are going to love Sticky Rice! It's a bit of fusion, with all the traditional favorites. It's not a very large place, but we were seated immediately both times we visited. The food was absolutely delicious, generous, and it was brought out very fast. The staff is very attentive and checks on you frequently to make sure drinks are filled, and you have what you need. Excellent service and reasonable prices. My daughter found this place with friends and she brought me there when I came to visit. Within a week, we were back there, despite it being an hour drive. I would highly recommend giving Sticky Rice a try. I'm partial to green curry, and this was one of the best I've ever had. My daughter enjoys pineapple fried rice and there's was also one of the best we've ever had. The Thai tea is excellent and very generous. We also tried the fried tofu appetizer, and the eggplant dish and both were excellent I don't think you can find a menu item that is not high quality. A little side-nugget - during our last visit, we learned that they grow much of their own produce. Just all around love this place and can't wait to go back. Don't hesitate to give them a try, you'll likely be addicted just like we are.
Great atmosphere, service, and food. We had spring rolls, beef pho, and Bangkok fried rice. Everything tasted great. The beef pho was a bit saltier compared to phos we've experienced at other places, but it was still tasty.
Always such a pleasant experience here! The service is very friendly and willing to help. The food is seasoned very well and comes in great portions. We can’t wait for another location on green!
This family owned restaurant has some of the best food my husband and I have ever had. We have traveled to many places and after leaving Champaign and eating Sticky Rice since they opened, we moved to Atlanta and we cannot find anything comparable. Their Tom Kha Kai soup and panang chicken curry is our all time favorite. Also, do not pass up their mango sticky rice! Their customer service is above all, and the way they treat their customers is something special that you won’t find at many restaurants nowadays. They consistently offer great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere in the downtown area. Anytime we are close to sticky rice we make the extra drive to dine with them!
Since I tried red curry for the first time I've been to many Thai restaurants trying their curry versions. In my opinion Sticky rice has the best red curry in Urbana-Champaign. Plenty of delicious tofu, not too spicy, lots of flavor. It's my place to go for red curry. My husband loves the pad Thai and fried rice. The service is great. Once they accommodated my husband request of switching the chicken in the sweet and sour dish for tofu.
I ordered the Pad Se-ew and their signature crab Rangoon. Both Dishes were a huge serving, and I believe extremely competitively priced. It’s the kind of place that you would definitely bring your visiting friends and or family to!!
The service was great, and the shrimp pho was delicious!! We tried their mango sticky rice, and loved that it had coconut ice cream too.
This was an amazing restaurant. The owner was very nice and attentive to my friend and I the whole time. They would check in always making sure we were okay and even gave us free food. They were super talkative and helpful. The food was also amazing. Amazing portion sizes, I feel like i got two meals out of it. Definitely going back
